On August 21, 2004, the most positive, strong willed, spirited, and full-of-life individual lost her five year battle with breast cancer. Mia Michelle Ware will always be remembered for her smile, courage, and a sense of well being she brought to so many people far and near. She was always the life of the party. Her strong willed desire to beat this disease was truly remarkable. Her ability to bring joy and happiness to so many people that suffer from this dreaded disease will always be a reminder that medicine, and the treatments associated with this disease, cannot compare to the success of beating the disease with a positive attitude and the word she cherished the most - "Hope".
     We all miss her contagious smile, warm and accepting heart and her willingness to give. It was never about her - she always wanted to bring happiness to those who surrounded her. The Mia Ware Foundation for Cancer Research and Education will aim high to always meet the needs of those facing challenges.
